Namaste Parents,
Thanks a lot for taking interest and participating in PT conference. Your feedback certainly motivates us to do a great job in shaping your child. We highly appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We will try our best to incorporate your suggestions in future classes.
Hindi: This week in Hindi, we learned seven tastes and those are: meetha, namakeen, kadva, teekha, khatta, garam & thanda. Children had a good time talking about foods they know that taste Khatta, Meetha, Thanda etc. - that would be a good way to help them remember it. Next, we did the 4 seasons: Sardi, Basant, Garmi and Pathjhad. We also revised days of the week and directions.
Here are Taste स्वाद details in English and Hindi
Sweet मीठा
Sour खट्टा
Salty नमकीन
Bitter कड़वा
Garam गरम
Cold ठंडा
pungent तीखा
Hindi Homework : Please complete pages 41 and 43 in your binders.
http://gurukul-wa.org/2011/classes/1D/Lists/Homework/DispForm.aspx?ID=22 Tanvi did a great job of reading a self made Hindi poem to the class for her STAR student activity.
Megha will be our STAR student next week and she will bring something for SHOW & TELL in next week's class.
Spoken Hindi: We started introducing new grammar construct for students- the Present Continuous form of a sentence. Until now they learnt “Neil khelta hai, Radha khaati hai..”. We introduced “Neil khel raha hai..” “Radha kha rahi hai…” concepts. This lesson will be continued in the next class as we were unable to cover some of the material planned due to time constraints.
The lesson is available at the following location:

For Culture Home Work, children should complete their Musical Picture Chart (if they didn't complete it in class) and bring it to the next class.
धन्यवाद!
