About Saptah ka Vishesh Vidhyarthi - Star student of the week 

Namaste parents 

Our Vishesh Vidhyarthi - star student program started in Nov, 2011.
Every week one student will be the star student. Students are selected as star students in the order of their birth dates...from Sept to Aug
Parents will be reminded one week prior via email and if possible personally. The list of star students is uploaded on the webpage too.

So, what is it mean to be the Star Student for the class? 
The student will lead Prarthana and the National Anthem.
Other students will wish the star student in Hindi - "Janam din ki badhaii ho''
The student will also speak on his/ her favorite topic in Hindi. (Atleast 5-6 lines are expected.)

The speech : 
1)  Students will prepare their speech at home in Hindi with parents' guidance and help.
2)  Students can choose any topic for the speech, keep it simple so that all the kids can understand.
     Few examples are -  All about me, My favorite things, My school, My family , My india visit, Festivals of India ...etc.
3)  Start the speech as follows: "Namaste , mera naam ---- Hai . Mai  ----- Saal ka / ki hu."
3)  End the speech with "Dhanyavaad"
4)  No English words as much as possible in the speech.
 
After the speech , the star student will be awarded with the certificate from Gurukul.

Parents are welcome to come to the class to watch their student's speech and take pictures and videos.

We hope kids will enjoy being star students and talking in Hindi.
