Hindi : Revise the color words in Hindi. Tell colors of different objects around the house in Hindi.
 
Spoken Hindi: A sheet of homework related to the newly learnt phrases (pl see class review for the phrases) was handed out in class.  Kids should complete it (with parents help) and bring it back on Sunday.  If your child did not bring a homework sheet home, please print out a copy for yourself here.         https://skydrive.live.com/view.aspx?cid=55607894C85E7326&resid=55607894C85E7326%21958

Please incorporate these phrases into daily conversation at home.  (E.g., every day when you pick up your child from school, you can say, “namaste, aap kaise hai.n?”, and they should respond with “mai.n Thiik huu.n” or “mai.n achchhaa/achchhii huu.n.”.  Daily practice is necessary in order to become comfortable with a new language.
 
Flash Cards: Kids were given a sheet of flash cards. Please ask them to cut them out and store in a safe place like ziploc bag.  Use the flash cards at home to quiz your kids and get them to practice saying those phrases.  Show the child one side, either the English/picture or the Hindi, and ask him/her to tell you the opposite side.
 
Culture :  Find out what their name means. Please take a minute to explain to your child what his or her name means.

Expected Ans : A boy would say - Mai chhe saal ka hu .

If your child can not write yet , it's ok to practise the question -answer orally . Parents and children would ask the question each other.
If your child can write pl ask him/ her to write in a notebook. Please don't write on a loose paper. Kids might lose it .
