We celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by talking about Gandhi Ji. It was so gratifying to see your child listen to his life story with absolute fascination! Ask your child to tell you a couple of things about Gandhi Ji. It would be great to hear what your child took away from my explanation! Aparna’s Dad was our class volunteer today and told us how his school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti back in India.
Our class activity required us to cut and paste and I will take this opportunity to remind parents to PLEASE make sure that you child brings their stationary items.
In my previous class, I had asked the kids to find out what their name meant. Many of the kids came back with the meaning behind their name and they shared with us with such pride in their voices.
Parent Volunteer: Many thanks to Mr. Jagan (Aparna's dad) for his help in the classroom.

Parents can use the flash cards at home to quiz their kids and get them to practice saying those phrases. Show the child one side, either the English/picture or the Hindi, and ask them to tell you the opposite side.
