I hope kids are enjoying their winter break .
 
1. Last Sunday in the class I gave 2 worksheets to the kids to finish during the winter break. I have also attached these worksheets here. (click on the link of Homework to find the attachment.)
 
If your child was absent on last Sunday pl take the print out and give it your child.
(Just in case if you don't know - printouts can be taken from local public library for free of charge.)
 
2. Revise all the vocabulary words included in the topics that kids learnt so far.
 
Please ask your child to spend atleast 5-10 minutes everyday on Hindi (vocabulary ,making sentences, conversation)

3) Finish the worksheet given in the class. It is regarding Feelings words (bhavnaae) and Opposite words (page no. 60 a and 61 a)
(There are 2-3 words for which you might need to know meanings in English. They are -> Utsahit : excited , Sharminda : embarrassed, Nirash - disappointed )
 
4) Listen to the song Hindi Alphabets . Parents , please play Hindi Alphabet Song for your child from Gurukul Songs CD as many times as possible.

3) Listen to the alphabet song from Gurukul CD

1) Kids were given the worksheet. Answer all the questions on the worksheet in Hinglish.
2) Practise spoken Hindi - atleast 5 minutes everyday
 Suggested activities - Parents , read a story from Hindi storybook to your child.  Work on the worksheets given before. (Repetition is ok)
3) Recite the 1st para of song Lakdi ki kathi.

Revise the letters - क म य ह  व र   (K, M, Y, H , V (or W) , R)
Write all the above letters 5 times for better practice.
Write 5 Hindi words starting with the letters - व and  र in Hinglish
e.g. व - vatan , veena ;  र - Ram, raat, rona etc
 
Additional activity: Parents , write the names of your family members in Hindi and ask your child to guess whose name is which by identifying the vowels and the consonants they have learnt so far.

Write these letters 5 times and list at least 2 words starting with these letters -  न   ग   स   च
 
Last Sunday we learnt new vocabulary on page no. 66 - Earth and its elements
based on that - Answer the folowing questions in Hindi -
 
1) Akaash me kyaa hota hai?  (What do you see in the sky ? - expected ans - Suraj , sitara or chandani, chaand, baadal etc)
2) Akaash kaunse rang ka hota hai ? (What is the color of the sky - expected ans - aasmaani or neela )
Opposite of Roshni? (opposite of light - expected ans - Andheraa)
3) Air ko Hindi me kya kahate hai ? (a word for air in hindi? - Hawaa
4)Sunshine ko Hindi me kya kahate hai ? (a word for sunshine in hindi? - Dhoop)
 
Write these answers in the notebook or on a blank ruled paper and keep the paper in the binder.
