HINDI ALPHABETS: We revised the swar अ to अः . The students were asked to revise the swar one more time with a special emphasis on swar ऋ Many students had difficulty writing that one in particular). Please ask them to learn and revise this one more time. The knowledge of Swar is an extremely important exercise as this plays a very important part when we start the Matras and the Barahkhadi. The students need to know the importance and significance of short and long vowels and which vowel will they be using in forming the words with Matras. Even though this might seem to be a very elementary work for the level, it importance cannot be minimized.
NUMBERS: The students revised their numbers from 1-35. The students were taught the skip counting by 10 starting from 10 to 100 in Hindi. We will be working on this some more in the coming classes
SPOKEN HINDI: As you are aware, Gurukul started the spoken hindi part this year, emphasis was given to the speaking part as well. The students did the introduction in Hindi- Their name and age in Hindi.
A. Students did introduction/ Parichay in Hindi.
• Mera naam __________Hai
• Mein ____________saal Ka/Ki Hoon.
• Mein Ladka/Ladki hoon.
B. Making sentences using Yeh and Veh. The kids tried forming sentences using these above words. Question : Yeh kya hai?
• Yeh Pencil hai
• Yeh Book Hai
• Yeh Mej Hai
• Yeh Kursi Hai.
• Mujhe Ghar jana hai.
C. Revised the body parts- with the help of the Rhyme-Sir, Kandhe, Ghutne, Paav.
D. Revised the colors by every kid telling us about their favorite color.
CULTURAL WORK:
• Story of Ganesha- How Lord Ganesha got elephant head-Ganesha’s parents and his favorite food-Modak/Laddu
• Ganesh Chaturthi Festival
• Ganesh Visarjan –the kids pretended that they were bringing Ganesha home and then did the prayer –Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva, put flowers on the statue and then finally doing the visarjan and eat the Prasad.
• The kids made the Ganesha Book mark.
