Culture Hour: Dandiya practice was there durung the Culture hour. Please Note that there is no regular class next week as there is Gurukul diwali festival on 8th November(from 2:30 p.m.) at Inglemoor Junior High.

 

Coversation Session: We revised "Yeh(this)" and "Veh(that)". For eg: "Kya yeh kudsi hai?" The children answered"Nahin yeh table hai" etc

We revised the verbs that we had done in the last session "Sukanya ladki hai. Yeh school jaati hai", "Aditya ladka hai, Aditya Padta hai" 

At home, try to form simple sentences wherever possible.

We would also be evaluating the kids on the conversation aspect soon.

 

Hindi session: We revised all the previous topics..didnt do anything new. Please keep revising at home too as kids learn by repetition

Culture session: In the culture hour we had Dandiya session for the kids. The kis were taught Dandiya by gurukul youth coordinators - Vedant and Vishnu. They were taught the basic 5 steps in Dandiya. Next week also we will have Dandiya session inorder to prepare them for the Diwali festival. The kids are welcome to get their own Dandiya sticks if they want though we would be providing them.

 

Hindi Hour: We revised domestic animals and also did wild animals

 

Conversation Hour: We took the topic as school and introduced the verbs for activities in school:

jaana( to go)

padna( to read)

likhna( to write)

seekhna( to learn)

khelna(to play)

khaana(to eat)

We formed simple sentences like: "Subah(morning) Pranav school jaata hai", "Kimaya padti hai", "anushka khelti hai", "Aditya seekhta hai" etc

In the previous class we had intoduced some verbs like

So(sleep)

chal(walk)

bhaag(run)

 

Please at  home try to form sentences using these verbs wherever possible for eg while eating you can say "Pranva khaa raha hai" and "Mummy khaa rahi hai" etc so that they get more comfortable with the language

Hind Session: In the class we did domestic animals. We also revised the previous topics like colors, family members and counting till 20.

Cultural session: we talked about Diwali. The kids were shown a powerpoint presentation on Diwali which showed how people celebrate Diwali ... decorate their houses with rangoli and light diyas , wear new clothes, eat sweets etc. The kids loved animated version of different kinds of firecrackers like Anaar(flowerpots), Zameen Chakri, rockets, etc.

Conversation session:  We revised "Yeh, Veh" We also introduced some verbs like "So (sleep)", "Bhaag(run)", "chal(walk)". We made kids enact the verbs and tried building sentences like "Yeh pranav hai" "Pranav bhaag raha hai"
"Yeh shreya hai" " shreya chal rahi hai" etc
